The memorial dedicated to HMS Affray, the last British submarine lost at sea, was unveiled in Gosport, Hampshire by one of only three remaining widows. The stone memorial contains a bronze plaque listing the 75 names of those lost when the submarine sank in 1951.
RBA was commissioned by the Affray Submarine Memorial Trust to liaise with local planning authorities to discuss suitable locations for this memorial in Portsmouth and Gosport before obtaining planning approval. The memorial is similar to the one unveiled in Alderney during 2012.
